TINNA PMB is the Polymer Modified Bitumen produced by blending straight run Bitumen with suitable thermoplastic polymers and additives. With the recent advancement of Flexible Pavement Technology Polymer Modified Bitumen is the latest binder for Hot Mixed Asphalt (HMA) i.e. a mixture of aggregate material bound together with polymerized bitumen binder for Bituminous Concrete/Macadam for Flexible Pavements.
Advantages of Polymer Modified Bitumen
Any grade can be designed for high pavement temperature
No need of higher binder in mix, if traffic is more than 30 msa
Minimum softening point of 70°C
Fail temperature may be as high as 82°C
Very high fatigue life and higher resistant to cracking and lower brittle point
